Top long distance athletes around the country, will converge in Kwahu on Saturday, April 20, for the second edition of the Kwahu Easter Mountain Marathon (KEMM).
Information gathered by the GNA Sports reveals, that, renowned long distances athletes, who have rich profiles in the event, have registered to participate in the competition.
Among them were; Akukka Williams, Ishmael Arthur, William Amponsah, Raja Lagble, Prosper Awuah, Denzel Poin among others.
According to the information these are crack athletes, who have competed in high profile events such as the Milo Marathon, Millennium Marathon, the Accra Marathon as well as other top events outside the country.
Also expected to participate in the Kwahu Marathon were; Erastus Mutua Mumo, Japhet Kurgat and Haron Bor, all from Kenya, who have confirmed their participation in this year's marathon.
Nancy Joan Rotich, a top female marathon runner has also confirmed participation in the marathon.
Ghana's Matthew Vicuba, winner of the 2018 edition of the marathon, is also keen on maintaining his crown with the likes Ishmeal Arthur, second runner up also confirming his participation.
This year's KEMM is expected to attract at least 1000 participants, with attractive cash prizes and electrical appliances for grabs.
Sponsors of this year's KEMM include Goil, StarTimes, Mobisoko, Asempa FM and Bel Beverages.
