Tony Yeboah Praises Stars

Tony Yeboah, who was mobbed as he left the stadium after Ghana's win over the Czechs praised the national team.

The former black stars striker admitted he was surprised by Ghana's performance.

"Before the game there is no way we could have thought that the team would play like that," he said. "But the boys were fantastic. We could have won the game by five or six goals.

"I worry that we may not have enough strikers for the final game. We were unlucky today and those misses could be very important.

"I am sure we can beat America to qualify for the next stage, although you never know. They are a good team and they will not want to return home without winning a game.

"We have shown that we can play against the best in the world and I think that it sets the standard for the rest of the competition for us."
