Former Ghana international Tony Baffoe has congratulated the Black Maidens following their impressive display against host Uruguay in the opening game of the 2018 FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup.
The Maidens annihilated Uruguay by five goals to nothing on Tuesday night as they got the tournament underway.
Baffoe who is also the Deputy General Secretary of the Confederations of African Football (CAF) commended the team and wished them well in their remaining fixtures.
“Congrats to the Black Maidens 5:0 against the Host Uruguay and the entire management good start, well done.” Baffoe tweeted.
Ghana will face Finland on Sunday in the second Group A game.
