Tigo launches 'Crazy Fan' campaign ahead of 2014 World Cup

Millicom Ghana Limited, operators of Tigo have launched a campaign dubbed ‘Crazy Fan’ to reward passionate football fans during the World Cup season.

The telecommunication giant is rolling out the global online campaign to capture and celebrate memorable moments of supporters during June’s tournament in Brazil.

In this campaign, ‘Crazily’ dressed tigo fans and the best captured emotional moments and videos will be rewarded.

Tigo will also be holding online interactive games to test the football knowledge of fans whereas prizes will be given to fans who are able to predict correctly World Cup games.

Tigo’s Chief Executive, Roshi Motman says the new campaign forms part of the company’s innovative ways to interact with their cherished customers and the larger Ghanaian football fans community.

“Tigo Ghana recognizes the significance of football in Ghana, as it is the passion of the nation,” she said at the campaign launch on Friday.

Fans will be able to access highlights on their ‘feature’ and ‘smart phones’ via Tigo Football ‘Madness’ hub on Facebook.

The telecom company will also be staging several road shows and experience centres across the country during the World Cup tournament next month.
