Sportscrusader.com sources have disclosed that three companies have showed interest in taking full ownership of Ghana Premier League side, Obuasi Ashantigold.

The Obuasi-based club are the current GPL champions but, have endured a torrid time defending the title they won convincingly during the 2014/15 season.

The attractive aura surrounding the club has not dwindled with the number of suitors interested in the Anglogold-owned football club rather increasing.

The source mentioned that the three horse race is currently being-led by a betting company who appear to have convinced the current owners with their juicy and attractive sum.

Initial reports gathered by Sportscrusader.com revealed that Anglogold were initially reluctant to sell but have subsequently been convinced it just might be about the right time to cash-in on the club.

Ashgold lie in a disappointing 10th position with 30points; 4 away from 15th placed Inter Allies with six games to end the season.
