Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has talked about the burden of donning the Black Stars jersey.

Partey, who has been in scintillating form for Atletico Madrid this season, says playing for Ghana requires a lot but he's eager keep improving to help the team achieve its ambition.

“Of course, there is expectation because I play for Atletico," he told KweseESPN.

“I am a young player and still quite new to the national team."

“I know that I just have to keep playing and improving and try to not think about the pressure.”

The 22-year old has netted five goals in his last four outings for Ghana but will miss team's final match of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign against the Pharaohs of Egypt through suspension.

The match is slated to come off at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday November 12
