Thomas Partey joins 'club 100' in Athletico's 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano

Ghanaian poster boy Thomas Teye Partey played his 100th game for Athletico Madrid in their slim 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at the Wonda Metropolitano stadium.

The imposing midfielder came off the bench for Juanfran for the Rojiblancos to record his 100th appearance in the colours of the Madrid since rejoining from Almeria in 2015.

A debut game against RCD Espanyol was followed by subsequent outings for Diego Simeone’s men including 64 La Liga matches.

The Ghanaian featured 17 times in the UEFA Champions League, 8 times in the Europa league including some 11 cup matches for the 2018 Super Cup winners.

Partey rerouted the Ghanaian media traffic onto himself with some explosive outings for the Black Stars since marking his international debut for the West African side.
