Longest serving Sports Minister, E.T Mensah, has denied the existence of saboteurs at the ministry.

None of the previous 13 ministers appointed in the last 14 years have been able to last for more than 2 years at the Sports department, with many claiming they had been forced out by a certain “Mafia” or saboteurs at that office.

But the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram who spent eight years in office between April 1993 and January 2001 claims there are no saboteurs at the sports ministry but it depends on the individual.

“What does that mean? There isn’t any mafia. There was no mafia. I worked with everybody. I tap the experience and expertise of all. I worked with people and I am a leader. It depends on your style,” ET Mensah told Starr FM.

“I am not the type of person who will throw his weight about. Each time I am given a job, I looked for the best and mind you because I was a sports ministers,” the former Accra Mayor added.
