The result was disappointing - Afriyie

Black Stars management committee chairman George Afriyie admits Fridays 0-0 draw with Comoros was a disappointing result.

The three-time World Cup finalists could not navigate their path against a lowly-ranked country as they laboured throughout the match.

"Yes, it was a disappoint result considering the fact that thought we had quality and with our pedigree and our recent performances we were going to beat them," Afriyie said.

"We were very confident, but we had to be cautious at the same because you agree with me that a country of almost 700,000 population and about 250,000 living in France and half of that based in Marseille. With this, there is no doubt they possess some quality.

Out of the 23 players, 22 of them were living in France and some scattered around Europe so this day you don't write your opponents off though I agree with you that looking at FIFA ranking, they are above 100 and so it was going to be an easy task.

They gave us a very tough opposition and I think that they are a good side.

Ghana will host Comoros on Tuesday at the Baba Yara Stadium knowing a scoring draw with see them eliminated from the qualifiers.
