Une finale 100% Ghana: It's a win-win situation
A great weekend for Ghana soccer, as Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko become the first teams from the same country to reach the African Confederations Cup finals.

Hearts, who won the African Champions League four years ago, made sure of their place with a 3-2 win over Cameroon's Coton Sport in a Group B match in Accra on Sunday.

Phobia, as they are foundly know by their fans, started the game needing a win to qualify for the final while Cotonsport only needed to avoid defeat to go through.

Louis Agyemang scored the first two goals for Hearts either side of half time before Ben Don Bortey scored the third.

Hearts looked set for a comfortable win but Cotonsport staged a late fight back scoring twice late on.

First of all Boukar Makaji scored in the 89th minute and then 3 minutes into injury time at the end of the game Andre Nzame III was on traget.

But it was too little too late for the Cameroonians and Hearts held on to win the game and a place in the final.

Asante Kotoko reached the final on Saturday by topping Group A ahead of Nigeria's Enugu Rangers International with a better head-to-head record after both sides finished on 10 points.

Kotoko won 3-0 at home over Sudan's Al Hilal while Rangers were held to a goalless draw away to Angola's Petro Atletico in Luanda on Saturday.

The first leg of the finals will be played in Accra on the 28 November and the second leg two weeks later, 11 of December, in Kumasi

The Confederation Cup replaced the African Cup Winners' Cup and Caf Cup competitions. The competition is open to national cup winners, and third-placed teams in national leagues from 12 countries selected on merit.
