Fifa player agent Sascha Empacher has praised Ghana U-20 forward Benjamin Tetteh, describing him as the next biggest star in Ghana’s football.
The German talent spotter, who holds the right of Ghana international Abdul Rahman Baba, says he is convinced that 17-year-old Tetteh would take the world of football by storm.
“There are lots of quality players in Ghana and I can tell you that the next biggest player in the country’s football will be Benjamin Tetteh of Dreams FC, who is currently with Ghana U-20 team in New Zealand,” Sascha told Goal.
“He is an excellent youngster with lots of potential and he can get to the top if he continues the way he has started. There is also Cudjoe Mensah, a clinical finisher, who is also up and coming. Ghana abounds with talented players,” he said.
Sascha, who spearheaded the move of Ghana international defender Isaac Vorsah to TSG Hoffenheim, tells young players in the country to be well-equipped and be in contact with good agents before moving to Europe.
"It is sad to see so many youths from Africa particularly Ghana left stranded in Europe and other parts of the world due to the behaviour of some agents,” he said.
“Ghanaian players need serious education before coming to Europe. They must assess the agent they choose, the clubs they are going to, how long has the agent been in the football business, his credentials and others things, as it would help them to make good decisions.”
Sascha has been in football business for over 20 years and is currently in the country to attend the Sixth Best in Ghana Soccer Fiesta organised by Proton Sports Limited.
