Black Meteors attacker Bernard Tekpetey believes Ghana will get a goal in Algeria when the Black Meteors face Fennec Foxes in the second leg of the Africa Under 23 championship qualifier on Tuesday.

The Ghana U23 team were held to a 1-1 draw by the Fennec Foxes in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, last Friday.

The Black Meteors will need to better the first leg results in order to qualify to the African Under 23 Championship in Egypt.

Fortuna Dusseldorf attacker Bernard Tekpetey is confident Ghana has what it takes to qualify ahead of Algeria despite the first leg results.

” For me I think we are going to qualify. Because Maybe we are going to get a good pitch there.

“Even Equatorial Guinea had a goal there, if Equatorial Guinea can score a goal there we can also make a different. Because we have quality than them.

“I’m hoping the boys are going to take their concentration very high. And we are going to put much focus on the game”. He told footballmadeinghana.com.

Tepektey also shared what the senior players will tell the young players ahead of the game in Algeria on Tuesday.

“We are going to meet the guys, we are going to tell them this is our quality, this is our work if anyone is not going to motivate us, let us motivate ourselves.

“We will make ourselves proud, we are making families proud, we are making the nation proud and you are going to make a record. It has been like 14 years and we have not been there before, I’m hoping and praying we can make it this time”

The winner of the two-legged game will qualify for the CAF U-23 championship in Egypt.
