Techiman City threaten to drag FK Jagodina to Fifa

Ghana Premier League side Techiman City FC are planning to file a complaint to Fifa against Serbian side FK Jagodina for the 'unlawfully use' of their striker Ebenezer Agyapong in an international friendly against Asante Kotoko.

Jagodina played as visitors and lost 5-0 to the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday as part of the Ghanaian giants’ 80th anniversary celebration.

Agyapong came on as a second half substitute and played 34 minutes for Jagodina.

“Jagodina used Ebenezer Agyapong without our notice so we will take action soon,” Techiman president Charles Kwadwo Ntim said.

“Although they contacted us in the past after the player caught the eye of their scouts in Egypt while on trials, we never heard from them again. There haven’t been any further negotiations with them, only to be alerted that he has been used in a friendly against Kotoko.

“Their actions are completely against the rules governing football, so we’ll drag them to Fifa. They have induced our player and must face the consequences,” he added.

Goal understands that Jagodina arrived in Ghana with only 11 players, including one goalkeeper and had to arrange for seven local players to be used as substitutes.
