Taylor 'fights' Bortey over best player tag

Former Asante Kotoko player Charles Taylor has slammed Dong Bortey over claims that he is the better of the two.

Charles Taylor said that he always describes Dong Bortey as a good player but it doesn't mean Bortey is ahead him.

According to Taylor, he always talks up players he believes he can learn from.

"I always chooses someone who is ahead of me so that I can learn from him but if no one praises you and you praise yourself it seems like 'you are a fool' and it brings your dignity down. Am not insulting anyone but am using it as an example."

Charles Taylor insisted that if you always praise yourself it means you don't believe yourself but let others praise you.

"I always praise Bortey in front others but everyone is good in football and don't praise yourself but let others praise you. The more I praise Stephen Appiah, the more someone also praises me. There was the same argument but they voted me as the best player over him but I told them that Bortey is good and I feel happy whenever I play with him", he said on Atinka FM.
