Tanko tips Ghana for success

Former Ghana international and current assistant coach of Cameroon, Ibrahim Tanko believes the Black Stars have enough quality to excel at this year’s World Cup in Brazil

Ghana is paired alongside Germany, USA and Portugal in group G, which has been termed as the group of death. Ghana is making her third appearance at the competition after participating in the 2006 and 2010 tournaments in Germany and South Africa respectively.

“Ghana has always had a chance in tournaments because we have good players and a good team.

“Big teams even have problems now and Germany are currently struggling with injuries as most of the players are not a 100% fit or are out of form

“I think beating Germany will definitely bring the confidence in the players which I believe will take them far in the tournament.

“I think we have a really good chance at the world cup."
