Takyi Arhin blames club administrators for challenges of local league

Famous critic of the Ghana Football Association Takyi Arhin has blamed club administrators for the backward movement of our local football, insisting they are their own enemies.

popularly known as Thunder, the former BA United Chairman claims that the unending legal tug-of-war between some of the clubs which has led to the delay in the start of the local league must not be blamed on the Ghana FA.

"How did we get to that bridge? A simple case at Ethics Committee has taken six months and still there is no end to litigation.

The Ethics Committee of FIFA took just two months to come out with their verdict on Sepp Blatter, Michel Platini and Jerome Valke because of transparency and equity," Takyi Arhin said.

"If you don't go to heaven don't blame Jesus. Like I keep on saying football administrators are enemies to ourselves. We should start thinking outside the box and ignore cronyism," he added.

His comment came as a shocking revelation to many people as many least expected him to blame the clubs, taking away the blame from the FA.

The Ghana Premier League which was expected to start in November last year will be starting on Saturday 20th February due to protracted legal battles between some of the clubs.
