Tagoe vs Dogboe bout will be good for Ghana boxing – Pappoe

Ataa Eddie Pappoe, Ghana's leading boxing referee, has said that the proposed bout between Emmanuel Tagoe and Isaac Dogboe will be good for Ghana boxing.

According to the renowned boxing judge, the bout will generate a huge public interest and inject fresh energy inot the sport in Ghana.

In an exclusive interview with Class Sports on Tuesday, January 30, Mr Pappoe said: "Both boxers are very good. Isaac Dogboe happens to be one of the best boxers we have now and Tagoe happens to be on top of the world and I think a fight between them will generate a lot of interest and I think the Accra Sports Stadium will be full because Emmanuel Tagoe has a huge following and same as Isaac Dogboe”.

He added that such a bout should be “at a weight of 130 pounds because Tagoe is a lightweight with 135 pounds weight and you need to come down to 130 pounds weight whiles Dogboe is at a weight of 122 pounds which is super bantamweight and if he is able to gain weight to 130 pounds, I believe we will witness a good fight.”
