Swedru All Black beat Asante Kotoko in Premier League match

Agona Swedru, (C/R) May 3 GNA - Gamba All Blacks made mince meat of visiting Kumasi Asante Kotoko when they beat them 2-1 in their Glo Premier League match played at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday. All the two goals for the Agona Swedru lads were scored in the fourth and 5th minutes through spot kicks converted by Daniel Gyamfi in the first half of the game to record an home and way victory over the 'Porcupine Warriors'. All Blacks capitalized on the poor performance of the Kotoko team with goalkeeper Isaac Amoako and his defenders having no answere to their onslaught.

Kotoko came fighting strongly in the second half in an attempt to redeem their image and rightly pulled back one of the goals when they earned a penalty in the 89th minute for Alex Asamoah to convert for a consolation after Louis Agyemang was brought down in All Blacks box. Ofosu Appiah should have got the first goal for Kotoko in the 83rd minute when he beat goalkeeper Acheampong and his defenders but the striker surprisingly shot over the bar.

In the 86th minute, Obed Owusu of All Blacks should have increased his side's goal tally but also threw away the chance. Referee Mohammed Awuah's attitude and what was seen as poor performance received series of protests and hooting from supporters of Asante Kotoko after he whistled for two quick penalties against their team.
