Swansea City optimistic over Andre Ayew

Andre Ayew is expected to be fit for Swansea City's Premier League clash with Stoke City despite withdrawing from the Ghana squad.

Ayew will not feature when Ghana face Canada in Washington next week after picking up what is being described as a knock in Swansea's draw with Tottenham last weekend.

However, the winger's problem is not thought to be serious and he is likely to be available when Swansea entertain Stoke a week on Monday.

Ayew netted his fourth goal of the campaign against Spurs, and has been one of the stars of the season so far.
