Suspended Muntari gives to the poor in Brazil

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has doled out unspecified amount of cash to disadvantaged Brazilian children.

The AC Milan player took time off his schedule in camp ahead of Ghana’s game against Germany to hit the streets to engage in alms giving in line with his Islamic tenets.

He attracted a lot of crowd on the streets of Maceio in the western state of Alagoas as children in particular and a few adults benefitted from his benevolence.

Muntari, who helped Ghana secure a point against Germany on Saturday in a 2-2 draw game, interacted with the locals by signing autographs and taking photographs with them. He owns a foundation with his wife Menaye that helps the under privileged in Ghana.

He would, however, miss the final group game against Portugal after picking his second yellow card of the tournament.
