Super Cup fixed for September 30

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the 2012 Ghana Super Cup will be played on September 30 in Accra.

The season's curtain-raiser will be contested between league champions Asante Kotoko and FA Cup winners New Edubiase United.

"The league is expected to start on October 7 but a week before that which is September 30th, the winner of the league will play the winner of the FA Cup," Ghana FA president Kwasi Nyantakyi disclosed.

"Therefore it means Asante Kotoko will face New Edubiase for us to see who the champion of champion is."

The Ghana Super Cup has been dedicated to the memory of renowned football administrator Alhaji Sly Tetteh who died in September last year.
