Sub-mid league thrills Today

THE "Apostles of power soccer”, B.A. United, will face a severe test this afternoon when they confront fellow regional contenders, Pro-Sports, in a crucial division one sub-middle league encounter at the Kumasi Stadium.

As the penultimate match of the competition, the stakes will definitely be very high, as both sides will fight tooth and nail to pluck the three valuable points to brighten their qualification chances.

And with the teams coming from Sunyani and Berekum respectively, the game would surely be uncompromising as it has every trapping of a local derby.

Having sounded a clear warning to the other opponents with that overwhelming 6-0 victory over Mighty Rocks, B. A. United look quite strong on paper and can account for their opponents, even though that will not be easy.

As the biggest motivation, victory for B. A. United will land them in the national middle league well ahead of the final game against Yeji Stars on Saturday.

The Sekondi, Gyandu Park will also witness a gruelling encounter when Power FC engage Olympiakos.

This match appears quite close and one should not be surprised if the two tough customers end up in a deadlock.

Mighty Jets and Stay Cool will also battle each other in a fierce encounter at the Cape Coast Siwdu Park.

Having lost their opening game 2-0 to Olympiakos, Stay Cool will go all out for victory, even though that will be resisted fiercely by their opponents.

This is in view of the fact that Jets also need a win to brighten their chances after d rawing 2-2 against Yeji Stars.

At the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Yeji Stars are tipped to pluck the three maximum points at the expense of Mighty Rocks.
