Goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe says Tom Strand deserves more respect for what he has achieved at Medeama and believes it is too easy to criticize from a television studio.

The 35-year-old guided the Mauve and Yellows to win the 2016 Ghana FA Cup, seeing off Ashantigold 1-0 in Accra.

The win has improved the reputation of the Swedish after he guided the team to win the 2015 FA Cup at the expense of Kotoko.

It's been a roller-coaster career for the European as he continues to gain inches in the Ghanaian media for the quick rise.

And influential goalkeeper and captain Muntari Tagoe says the European gaffer deserves more plaudits.

"He (Tom Strand) deserves more respect from everybody in this country. He has done a lot for this club," he said

"He is a fantastic coach and understands the game. His training method is superb and he has a great bond with the players.

"Come to our training ground and see how he relates to the players. You will be amazed.

"We have a strong bond with him and hopefully, he can lead us to the promise land.

"Winning the FA and Super Cup is no mean achievement. It's been through hardwork and determination and lots of the credit must go to him and the technical team."

The Mauve and Yellows are on cloud nine at the moment and are gradually building a reputation as Cup specialist.
