Stop criticising Traguil – Tamakloe

Fans of Accra Hearts of Oak must remain patient and throw their support behind new coach Sergio Traguil in order to motivate him to deliver results, Board Member of the Premier League club Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has said.

Pressure has been mounting on the former Benfica employee from fans over the last few days, after picking up three points from a maximum nine for the Phobians in the second half of the league season.

The former Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss told Class Sports’ Hussein Hassan: “The coach has just taken over a club and has drawn all of his three matches so far. You give him the opportunity and chance to advance further, because this sort of pressure on him is needless and will not help anyone.”

The Portuguese trainer has said he will win the league in his first season with the Accra-based side after replacing erstwhile Japanese-American Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

“He seems very confident and I will not be surprised he makes a big impact in the league. I definitely believe Hearts of Oak will finish at least in the top three of the 2015/16 league. The team is doing well but naturally a few setbacks will happen since it is a long season and not just a short event. In competitions of this sort, all participating teams will always give off their best against the very best teams and Accra Hearts of Oak is certainly one of them” Mr Tamakloe noted.

Sergio Traguil’s next league fixture will be against Sekondi Hasaacas at the Sekondi Sports stadium on Sunday July 17.
