Sulley Ali Sariki Muniru feels his move to Romania champions, Steaua Bucharest, is step forward after spending the last three seasons with FCR Cluj.
The 22-year-old signed a four-year deal last week from fellow Romanian side CFR Cluj after managing to secure regular first-team action at Transylvania.
Muniru - younger brother of AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari - therefore opted to leave Jose Mourinho's side for Steaua Bucharest, and insists he has no regrets over the decision.
"Indeed, Steaua is a step forward for me. I have the opportunity to play in the Champions League , but my journey will not stop here," Muniru was quoted by saying told prosport.ro.
" I hope that Steaua are just a springboard to strong football in Europe. I want to go even higher."
Muniru played his first match for Steaua Bucuresti on Wednesday in pre-season friendly against SK Austria Klagenfurt
Steaua Bucuresti are preparing for their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie against Slovakian side AS Trencin.
