Stars' Namibian Trip Put Off

Accra, (Greater Accra Region) 9, Oct. The friendly international match between the senior national team, the Black Stars, and their Namibian counterparts, scheduled for Windhoek, on Sunday, October 12, has been called off. Speaking to the GNA in Accra today, the Stars' assistant coach, Sam Addy, said the flight schedule does not favour the Stars, hence its cancellation. He said according to the flight schedule, the Stars were due in Namibia on Sunday, October 12, in the morning and play the match in the afternoon. Mr Addy said Head Coach Rinus Israel will leave next week for Europe to monitor the performances of foreign-based Ghanaian players. He said the local players ccurrently in camp will take a break and come back on November 1 to prepare for friendlies with Benin, Togo and Nigeria.
