St. Mirren qualifies for Premier League

Cape Coast, Oct. 13, GNA - Tema St. Mirren played a highly determined game to whip Fair Point 3-0 to secure seven points to qualify for the Premier League when the two side's clash in a crucial Middle League encounter at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday. After Referee T.K. Aggrey from Tarkwa signalled the two sides into action it was St. Mirren who shot into the lead in the 12th minute and increased the tally to two with a spot kick taken by midfielder Mahatma Otoo in the 40th minute.

On resumption of the second half, Fair Point improved on their game but their hope of drawing level with St. Mirren were shattered when the Tema team's playmaker, Mawuli Tuglo mounted his goal tally to 3-0 in the 85th minute.
