Sponsors are already knocking on our doors - Hearts MD

Neil Armstrong Mortagbe, Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, has said sponsors are already knocking on the doors of the club after what he described as effective packaging of their home matches.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday, Armstrong Mortagbe said, his outfit decided to organize pre match conferences to sell their home matches and this has already attracted three companies to the club.

“Over the last few days three companies have walked into the secretariat of the club expressing their desire to be our sponsors. This was because we packaged our last home game well.

“We intend packaging each home game well by organizing press conferences before our home games as part of the strategies to project the image of the club and the local league as well.”

The Managing Director however refused to mention the names of the companies saying it was too early for that, but added that, the club is on the verge of reclaiming it glory on the local and international scene.

He, however, noted that he had set a three year time frame for the club and was confident Hearts will be ready to conquer both Ghana and Africa and participate in the world club championships in 2016.

Armstrong Mortagbe urged the supporters of the club to rally behind the playing body in all matches.

“We did it well against Kotoko, and I expect the supporters to fill the stands again when we take on Hasaacas on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium because we have to win each single game to ensure we are on course for the title.

“A team like Hearts of Oak cannot go four years without a league title and the time is due for us to restore our glory”.
