Space Fm's Kwabena Kyere Commended

Space Fm?s Head of Sports Desk, Kwabena Kyere(aka Stuggard), one of the nominees for the 2004 Best Radio Presenter, scheduled for Saturday, 2nd April, 2005 at the Regency Hotel in Acccra, and continues to receive heaps of commendation from around the globe, as the curtains draw for the big event tomorrow.

The latest to add his voice is the one-and-only Kofi Asare Brako (Abatay) of Peace Fm.Speaking to Alhaji Yahya a short while ago on Space Sports,Abatay who is currently on a long holiday in the US praised Kwabena Kyere for his hardwork, consistency and wished him well for tomorrow?s event. According to Kofi, Stuggard is no doubt the Best Sports Presenter in the country, and commended the organisers for instituting the awards and also for casting the net wider. On his first visit to the premises of Space Fm in Sunyani, Asare Brako, who was amazed with facilities at the Radio station jokingly said the station should have been set up in Accra and therefore urged the Directors to move to Accra to teach the so-called bigger FM stations the stuff they were made of. Listeners took offence and an apology was rendered to that effect and today a caller stated that Space Fm and Kwabena Kyere would have had no picking all the prizes at stake if they were in Accra

In a related development, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah and Ibrahim Saanie Diarra both BBC Correspondents have expressed no surprise at Stuggard?s nomination and predicted there?ll be a time when Space FM will give the so-called bigger Stations good run for their money, when it comes to awards. They were, however, unanimous in commending the brain behind the Space story, Mr. Ransford Antwi, for his high sense of ingenuity and innovation. According to them, Mr. Antwi has contacts globally and is highly regarded internationally by the football fraternity, so why won?t they excel they asked?

Kwabena Kyere holds a degree in Bio-Chemistry from the University of Winneba, and was the only person to score A in the GFA organised course for Soccer Administrators in the Brong Ahafo Region. He was one of the few reporters to travel with the Ghanaian Contingent to the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
