Southampton lining up bid for Issah Abbas from Mainz 05

English Premier League club Southampton is planning to make a bid to German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 to sign winger Issah Abbas, footballghana.com can report.

The pacey Ghanaian international has shown great promise in the past year while playing for club and country.

He was shipped out on a season-long loan move to Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht at the beginning of the 2019/2020 football season.

Though he didn’t play every match, he made the appearances he made count and established himself as one of the exciting talents in the league.

Now back with Mainz 05 following the cancelation of the Dutch League, he is in the race to play for the first team of the club next season in the German Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, the latest information coming in has indicated that Issah Abbas has caught the eye of Southampton with the English Premier League side lining up a bid to try and secure his services when the summer transfer window comes around.
