Distributors of Boxer motorcycles in the country, Somoco Ghana, have launched the 3rd edition of the much-anticipated motorbike contest, Boxer X challenge at its head office in Accra.
The Boxer X challenge which is organized by Somoco Ghana is an endurance course challenge aimed at testing out Boxer series motorbikes and the riding skills of bikers in Ghana.
The 2019 Boxer X challenge features a 4-obstacle setup which consists of stones, rumps, mud with sharp curves and a speed course.
This year’s edition promises to be bigger and better as it seeks to celebrate the champion of rough roads. Last year the company held two competitions in Ghana which drew crowds from every part of the capital.
Addressing the audience at the launch, Marketing Manager for Somoco Ghana, Chamberlain Nyemi-Tei revealed that the 3rd edition of the Boxer x challenge will introduce the general public to the newest Boxer X125, 5-gears bike with its durability and power.
He said, “Besides the bike which the winner stands to win, they also get to take home appliances from their partner Somotex, distributors of Bruhm products. The event will also have a service station where individuals can have their bikes checked out for free.”
Girender Mohinani, Business Head of Somoco Ghana, who spoke on the 5-year partnership between Bajaj and Somoco Ghana, stated that the main aim of the brand is to provide world-class motorcycles and services to the general public at affordable prices. He also mentioned, that Somoco Ghana is the sole distributor for Bajaj two and three-wheeler bikes in Ghana and this is a role they do with pride.
“The brand also seeks to educate bikers on safety. Our newest product, the Boxer X125 two-wheeler bike is assured to be more durable with a higher level of safety for their patrons,” Girender Mohinani said.
The 2nd edition winner, Benjamin Alati threw a challenge to riders across the country to partake in this year’s edition and attempt to take over his spot.
The 3rd edition of the Boxer x challenge will take place from the 22nd of June to the 27th of July,2019 at the following parks; Asamankese, Tema, Dansoman, Pokuase, Amasaman, Kasoa Ofarkor, Jamestown, Spintex, Madina and Ablekuma from 9 am.
All one needs to participate is to show up at any of the selected venues to register.
