Norwegian side Sogndal IF are sweating over the injury of Ghana attacker Mahatma Otoo ahead of the start of the Eliteserien.
Otoo, 24, suffered a troubling thigh injury during Sogndal's friendly triumph over Forde last week.
Sogndal medical staffs are working around the clock to get the former Hearts of Oak star ready for the White and Blacks league opener against Sandefjord on March 13.
But manager Eirik Bakke seems to have given up on the fitness of Otoo.
"He is still in pain and its never good for the weeks ahead. We have others who can slot him but we must have him available. It's worrying for Mahatma because he has never had the full opportunity with us," he told the club's media outlet.
Otoo scored 13 league goals to propel the club back to the Norwegian top-flight after their relegation two season.
Sogndal manager Bakke was counting on him for the start of the season.
