Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila says he is not disappointed at all by the latest Black Stars snub despite being in top form for Kuwaiti side AL Qadsia.
Black Stars head coach Avram Grant released a list of 23 players for the double header World Cup qualifier with Comoros without the name of the former Sundowns defender.
But Rashid Sumaila insists that he is not disappointed by the snub since he knows the coach will soon recognize his inputs and extend him an invite.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Sumaila said “I am not disappointed that I was not called. I know the time will come soon. Even though I have played so well for my team getting them to the Asian Champions League semi finals and we are also on top of our league.”
“I know Ghana has a lot of players and my time is just around the corner. I wish the team well ahead of the World Cup qualifiers and hope that they will beat the Comorans massively,” he added.
Rashid, 22, was a member of the Black Stars team that represented Ghana at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
