Skyy FC wins Western Region Division One slot

Skyy FC surprised everyone by winning the Western Region Super Middle league tournament after beating Sefwi All Stars 3:2 at Essipon Stadium, last Sunday.

Skyy FC is a Skyy Media Group project to mark its 20th Anniversary. In 2016, the CEO of Skyy Media Group bought Mighty Royals - Daboase based second division club. The team was reborn after touring the entire Wassa East District to put together outstanding youthful Soccer talents under the supervision of Coach Shaun Awotwee.

The new Skyy FC went through the tough Shama Zone of Division two league and MTN FA Cup qualifiers unbeaten in this season.

In an exclusive interview the club President, Hon Wilson Arthur who is also the DCE of Wassa East District revealed that a new FIFA standard grass soccer park is under construction for past six months to be used by Skyy FC to host Division One league.

Interestingly, Skyy FC Club President, Officials and Players unveiled their Champions T shirt the moment the final whistle was blown.
