Sidalco donates to Black Satellites

Accra, May 20, GNA - Sidalco Company, dealers in Agricultural products on Monday donated assorted beverages to the national U-20 team, the Black Satellites at their camping base. The items worth thousands of cedis included 20 crates of energy drinks, five cartons of fruit juice and a cash donation of 2,000 Ghana cedis.

The donation which was made on behalf of the Chief Executive of Sidalco, Mr David Lamptey by Alhaji Abubakari Salam was to support the team's preparation towards the FIFA U-20 World Cup slated for Egypt in September.

"This is just the beginning and we promise to do more to support the team's cause."

Mr Lamptey also assured of a special package should the Black Satellites return from Egypt with the ultimate trophy. Head coach of team, Sellas Tetteh commended the management of Sidalco for their kind gesture towards supporting the team and assured that the products will be channeled to achieve its intended objectives. Sellas Tetteh appealed to corporate bodies and individuals to emulate the feat, which he said will serve as a booster to the team's quest for the ultimate at the global championship. The Satellites, current Africa U-20 Champions are paired in Group D alongside England, Uzbekistan and Uruguay for the September 24 to October 16 championship.
