Ghanaian midfielder Shadrach Eghan has been given permission by his club to undergo trial at Belgian side Westerlo, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old has been refused a work permit extension by the Dutch FA with his contract set to expire in February (next month).
FC Twente acquired Eghan from Swedish side Malmo FF in 2013 but was described as a fraudulent transfer by the Royal Dutch Football Association.
The Eredivisie side can only secure another work permit for the former Ghana U20 triallist if his current contract is terminated and re-sign him as a non-EU player.
Twente are reluctant to cancel Eghan's contract and offer him a new deal because of the huge wages involved.
