Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has hailed the quality of the Scottish league as one of the best in the world.
The 24-year-old’s form appears to be on the rise again having completed a season’s-long loan to giants Celtic at the beginning of the new campaign.
Wakaso has one goal in two appearances in the UEFA Europa League to his credit as he continues to work his way back to his best form.
And despite the relative struggle of the Hoops at the start of the season, the ex Espanyol man believes he is playing in one of the top leagues in Europe.
“Scotland and the English League is almost the same and we all know that the English league is one of the best in the world,” Wakaso told MTNFootball.com.
“So I cannot compare the Scottish League to that in Russia. The Scottish league is far far better than the Russian League.
“But there are also good players in the Russian league too.”
