Inter Milan's loan offer for midfielder Alfred Duncan have been rejected by US Sassuolo.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Mapei Stadium following his stupendous performance in the first round of the campaign.
Sportitalia is reporting that Inter Milan are keen to bring the midfielder back to the San Siro, where he failed to cement his place in his first spell at the club in 2012.
The Nerazurri's are keen to secure the services of the hard-tackling midfielder on loan with the option to buy in the summer.
However, the Neroverdi have rebuffed Inter's offer as they are only interested in outright sale.
Duncan is valued at €20 million with Inter rivals AC Milan believed to be also interested in his signature.
He is accustomed to Italian football having featured for Livorno, Sampdoria and recently Sassuolo.
