Amidaus Professionals bankroller Baba Gedo has revealed he was labelled a nation-wrecker for admitting that he had previously attempted to influence the results of matches under the erstwhile Kwesi Nyantakyi led GFA administration.

The outspoken administrator was hauled before the Ghana FA ethics wing for going public with his admission that he has paid bribe to referees in the past.

Gedo told Accra-based Happy FM that he had previously paid bribe to match officials and dared other administrators to come clean.

He told Peace FM Head of Sports Dan Kwaku Yeboah that he was congratulated by the head of the Ethics Committee DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye for declaring the truth to Ghana.

“I was brought before the Ethics Committee for my comments and when the interrogations was over Kofi Boakye stood up and congratulated for saying the truth,” he said on the show.

He expressed his worry about hypocrisy among Ghanaian football leadership and mentioned that former Head of Communications for the Ghana FA Ibrahim Sannie Daara labelled him a nation-wrecker saying the obvious.

“You know after I made those comments a lot of people showed hypocrisy especially Ibrahim Sannie Daara who attacked me on social media and labelled me nation-wrecker for my comments,” he added.

Sannie was caught in the Anas No.12 scandalous corruption video recording which swept away the old GFA administration.

The ex-BBC presenter is in court fighting Tiger Eye PI over the scandal.
