Samuel Boadu staying grounded despite Medeama’s fine start to the season

Medeama coach Samuel Boadu is not about to get carried away by his side's “pleasant” start to the Premier League campaign.

The Mauve and Yellows recorded an impressive 3-0 win over Hearts of Oak to assume top position after just two games.

Sensational striker Prince Opoku-Agyemang bagged a brace while substitute Nana Kofi Babil got on the scoresheet for the second week in succession to nail the Phobians at the Akoon Community Park in Tarkwa.

Despite the side's fine start to the campaign, Medeama gaffer Samuel Boadu intends to keep everyone at the club firmly grounded.

"We are happy to this point. But there is a lot of work to be done," he told the club's official website medeamasc.com

"Nobody is getting carried away at all. There are many tough games ahead and we have to keep the positive mentality.

"We know how tough the Premier League is, we know how football can change, so we are very much focused on the next match."

Having established themselves as one of the top-four finishers in the Ghanaian top-flight, the two-time FA Cup winners are regarded genuine contenders for the Premier League crown this term.

They travel to Accra to battle Liberty Professionals in their next game on Sunday.
