Hearts of Oak midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim has expressed his delight with his return to form in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The mercurial enforcer joined the Phobians at the start of last season from second-tier side King Solomon FC after being crowned the Most Value Player in the GN Division One League.

He became the toast of the Phobians teeming fans following his blistering form in their pre-season games but suffered an ankle injury in the team's first match of the season against New Edubiase United.

However, after returning from the long lay off, the former Danbort FC midfielder failed to recapture his charming form, leading to reports that the club were mauling over cashing up on him prior to the start of the ongoing campaign.

In an interview with Happy FM, said, "I thank God for how far he's brought me. I went through a lot after I suffered that injury and I found it difficult to break into the team upon my return to fitness."

"I had sleepless nights because of that but I took it as a challenge because I wasn't able to repay the faith the fans shown in me when I first arrived at the club."

"I psyched myself up and started doing extra training so that I can get back to my best and also with incessant prayer. I believe all those things have played a factor in my current form. I'm not there yet but I know if I continue doing it everything will come natural."

He was at his best for Hearts of Oak in their 1-1 stalemate against Asante Kotoko in Sunday's Super clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
