The ‘Samsung Dream The Blues campaign’ has officially kicked-off in London today with all 14 participants from five continents beginning their first training sessions at the Cobham Training Center (Chelsea FC’s training ground) in London.
13 year-old Ishmael Mensah who is representing Ghana is particularly thrilled to be meeting and training side-by-side with his football idols –Fernando Torres, Juan Mata and Victor Moses. “It feels like I am dreaming, I can’t believe I am actually playing with Torres on the same pitch at my dream football club, this is totally amazing,” he cited in excitement.
Ishmael is very confident that he will be very impressive in all the training sessions in the upcoming days. He said this is a life time chance for him to prove a talented a young footballer with the dream of playing at the top flight as a professional footballer. He admitted the ‘Dream The Blues Campaign’ is his biggest platform yet.
There will be two training sessions today: the morning and afternoon sessions respectively. The campers will then move to their respective hotel rooms to rest and then join with their coaches and other officials to cheer Chelsea FC to victory in their Europa League final game against SL Benfica of Portugal.
14 kids from different countries and cultural background are partaking in the London camp. This will present them with the unique opportunity to build friendship, share dreams and communicate via football during this week-long program.

The campaign is an expansion of Samsung-Chelsea FC Youth Football Camp program, which is an ongoing effort of the company since 2007, benefiting and inspiriting more than 6,000 youths from around the world of 9 to 13 years old.
