Sammy Kuffour is not filled with pride – Augustine Arhinful

Former Ghana striker Augustine Arhinful has moved to defend Samuel Osei Kuffour, his bosom friend and a former playing colleague in the senior national team, describing the ex-Bayern Munich player as a very nice person who opens up to anyone he comes across.

In an interview on Dwedwamu on Kasapa 102.3 FM on Friday, the former AshantiGold player debunked claims that Kuffour is filled with pride, hence his quick public announcement of being the CEO of the porcupine warriors when Manhyia was yet to take a decision on his candidature.

Commenting further on the alleged public announcement by Kuffour as the new CEO of Kotoko, Arhinful said such declaration was never made by his bosom friend.

“Samuel Osei Kuffour didn’t announce the Kotoko appointment; he was asked what will be his plans if he is chosen as the new manager of Kotoko. He never emphatically stated that Otumfour has given him the Job.”

“People say he is filled with pride, but that is untrue, Sammy Kuffour is free to be approached.”
