Sam Adams insist Fosa Juniors can’t overturn 6-1 score line in return leg

The Ghana Champions took a comfortable lead to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 6-1 hammering of Malagasy side Fosa Juniors.

Sam Adams and Elvis Opoku got a brace each with Zakaria Mumuni and Bright Adjei getting the other goals as the Dormaa-based rout over their counterparts after the visitors had taken the lead.

Forsa Juniors will now have to respond to the 6-1 deficit in order to progress to the next round, a result Sam Adams believes will be impossible for the Malagasy FA Cup Champions to over tune.

It was a good win for us and the people of Dormaa, we conceded very early but we didn’t lose hope and we fought back to score six goals,” he said. “This is a very good score line for us and I am not sure they will be able to score us six goals when we go there.

“We will go there and try hard to win as possible. All the players are very happy for thus result.”

Aduana Stars will make the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time should they hold on to their 6-1 advantage when they take on Fosa Juniors in the reverse encounter.
