Saint Nicholas emerge overall champs of Basic Schools athletics

Cape Coast, March 22, GNA - Saint Nicholas Junior High School (JHS) emerged the overall champions of the Aboom Circuit of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Basic Schools Athletics competition held at the Schools and Colleges Park at Adisadel, Cape Coast.

They bagged a total of 277 points to lift the championship trophy. Saint Nicholas came first with 93 points in the Boys' division followed by Falahiyya JHS at the second position with 90 points, AME Zion JHS came third with 36 points with Mfantsipim JHS placing fourth with 35 points while Christ Church JHS was fifth with 26 points.

Saint Nicholas also emerged first in the Girls' category with 80 points followed by Christ Church JHS with 72 points with Falahiyya JHS coming third with 49 points, Saint Monica's JHS had 45 points to place fourth with Mfantsipim taking the fifth position with 33 points.

In the Primary schools division, Christ Church topped the boys sector with 36 points, E.J.P Brown school was second with 35 points, Saint Nicholas took the third position with 28 points while Antem Metropolitan Authority (M/A) came fifth with 25 points.

In the girls' category, Saint Nicholas again took the first position with 76 points, Mfantsipim was second with 26 points, Christ Church was third with 15 points, E.J.P Brown was fourth with 15 points and Methodist "B" was fifth with 14 points. Prizes and certificates were given to outstanding athletes.
