Berlin FC chief executive officer, Takyi Arhin believes there are individuals at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) who are behind the annual change of headline sponsor to the Ghana premier league.
The 2016 season is set to start on 20 February without a headline sponsor after Capital Bank suspended their sponsorship and this has brought a lot of pressure on clubs to prepare for the new campaign.
The banter has been gong back-and-forth with a number of the clubs accusing the GFA of acting reluctant to find a sponsor for the league and the GFA pointing finger at the clubs for not seeking sponsors for themselves to cushion them.
The controversial football administrator, Arhin has revealed he has reliable information relating to individuals who are within the corridors of the GFA and pretending to promote the worlds of the association but rather help develop the game in Ghana.
He said, “the controversial football administrator Takyi Arhin has wield his vocal axe claiming, “for the past three years our league has delayed because of protest and those who are behind it are with the GFA. I believe there are people closer to the GFA especially the president who are sabotaging the development of the league.”
“they solely focus on their selfish interest and that tends to influence their decision to push teams to file needless protests that prolongs the start to the league. The legal committee of the GFA are not advising the executives better and that is why we are faced with much difficulties than solutions for our league today, he added.
The Premier League Board announced earlier that the Ghana Premier League will commence on the 20th of February.
