SC Bravo Bravo qualify for Div. 2

SPORTING Club Bravo Bravo, winners in the Greater Accra central Third Division Zone ‘D’ league last week Saturday became the Greater Accra Middle League Zone ‘D’ champions.

In an uncompromising deciding match played on Saturday, December 29, 2001, at the Mamprobi Indadfa Park, SC Bravo beat Middle League leaders, Osu Megastars by 3-0 to become champions. The goals were scored by arguably the top scorer of the league and tournament, Eric Quarshie (Andy Cole) in the 20th and 79th minutes and Stephen Okyere (Tico Tico) in the 28th minute respectively.

Players who played a yeoman’s game to ensure victory were Ashaley Ashieley, Awel Mohammed, Arimiyaw Tajideen, Joshua Johnson, Emmanuel Awuku (Polo) and Ebenezer Buabeng.

On their way to dislodging Megastars to become champions SC Bravo Bravo, played a pulsating 1-1 draw game with Bachus FC, beat True Democracy 3-0, accounted for Jofia FC 4-0 and Adenta FC 5-3.

With the qualification of SC Bravo Bravo, according to the Executive President/Director, E. A. Armah, the sky is only the limit for the club. The club will shortly embark on a recruitment exercise to beef up the team for the upcoming Greater Accra Division Two league.
