Rugby Match Officials for course

Accra, May 22, GNA - The Ghana Rugby Association (GRA) will hold a five day Level One, course for coaches and referees as part of its efforts to promote the sport in the country.

The course, scheduled for May 28 to June 1 will be held at the Charles Kumi Gyamfi Sports College, Winneba. In all about 35 people are expected to take part in the five day programme, which will be handled by instructors from Ghana and South Africa.

According to information gathered by the GNA Sports from the National Sports Council (NSC), the instructors include two Rugby experts from South Africa and three Ghanaian officials.

Selected Rugby teams from Cape Coast and Accra will play in a fare well match to draw down the curtain on the programme. In a related a development, the association has commenced preparations towards the Castle Beer Africa Rugby Tournament scheduled for Lagos, Nigeria, from July 9 to 14, 2007.

Ghana will present two categories of teams for the tournament which involves Under-18 and Senior sides.
