The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Dome-Kwabenya, Mike Oquaye Jnr., has emphasized the importance of road infrastructure in improving transportation in the country.
He stated that roads play a crucial role in boosting the local economy, by serving as a means of transporting goods, services, and individuals.
Oquaye Jnr. made these remarks after accompanying the Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, to inspect ongoing projects in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency.
Mike Oquaye Jnr., who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, joined the roads minister to tour ongoing projects within the Taifa Christo Asafo area, Taifa-Bankyease, Bankyease-Ofankor Bridge, and Dome to Kitase roads.
“Together, we reviewed the progress of work and discussed solutions to the challenges faced by the contractors. We also discussed the pure water and Boshe roads which need urgent attention as well.
“These roads are crucial for improving transportation and boosting the local economy. We were also accompanied by the Ga West Roads Engineering team, as well as local residential association heads who elaborated on some of the other matters that required urgent attention in the communities,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The Dome-Kwabenya parliamentary candidate expressed gratitude to the roads minister and his team for their dedication and service towards the completion of road projects across the communities and the country as a whole.
