Armed Forces Inter-Service Sports Competition kicks off on Aug. 11

Accra, Aug. 6, GNA - This year's Ghana Armed Forces Inter-Services Sports Competition has been scheduled for Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 15, 2008. The five-day event, which will draw participants from the Ghana Army, Navy and Air Force would take place at the El-Wak Sports Stadium and Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp.

A statement issued by Lieutenant S. Dzanyikpor of the Public Relations Division of the Ghana Armed Forces said the participants will compete in disciplines such as Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Tug-of-war, Handball, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Cross Country and Athletics. The opening ceremony will come off on Monday, August 11 at the El-Wak Stadium. 06 Aug 08
